RenoDaddy Privacy & Policy

RENODADDY BUILDER SDN. BHD. values your privacy and endeavours to protect your personal data in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (the “Act”). We are therefore committed to ensure that your Personal Data is processed and protected in accordance with the Act.

This Privacy Notice (“Notice”) is issued to all our clients pursuant to the Act and RenoDaddy uses and protects any information that you provide to RenoDaddy and in certain circumstances information of third parties (“Related Persons”).

During the course of our business, RenoDaddy may processes, directly or indirectly, the following categories of Personal Data, namely the personal data of RenoDaddy’s customers and Related Persons.

The personal data that RenoDaddy may process are as follows:

  • Name;
  • Identity card / Passport number;
  • Nationality;
  • Date of birth;
  • Contact details such as mobile phone, address and email;
  • Signature;
  • Individual captured on CCTV images;
  • Expression of an opinion of a Data Subject;
  • Credit card or debit card details;
  • Bank account number.

Purposes of Processing

We will process the personal data together with other information we may obtain about you from other sources for the following purposes:

  • Provide, operate, and improve our renovation services.
  • Communicate with you, including responding to inquiries and processing requests.
  • Personalize your experience by offering relevant content, renovation themes, and pricing options.
  • Fulfill our contractual obligations and provide legal documentation, such as contracts and warranties.
  • Improve the website, enhance customer satisfaction, and develop new features.

Disclosure of your information

Your personal data may be shared within all branch offices of RenoDaddy. Your information will also be disclosed to the following parties:

  1. business affiliates and marketing affiliates to provide tailored services, special offers, and marketing content that may interest you;
  2. our insurance company;
  3. our contractors, service providers and agents providing services relating to the purposes of which the personal data is collected;
  4. banks and financial institutions for processing of your loan, if applicable.


Your information may also be transferred overseas to third parties for the fulfilment of the above purposes including data processing purposes. We will exercise all due diligence to ensure that your personal data processed overseas will be processed in accordance with personal data laws of Malaysia and that of the said jurisdictions.

We may disclose your personal information if required to do so by law or in good faith, if such action is necessary to:

  1. comply with any law enforcement agency requirement, court orders or legal process; or
  2. protect and defend the rights or property of RenoDaddy and their users.

Sensitive Personal Data

During the course of your business relationship with us, we may process your sensitive personal data and that of the Related Persons. You hereby grant your explicit consent for us to process such information for the purposes described above.

We may also obtain sensitive personal data from other parties with your explicit consent or when it is allowed by law.

Information about other individuals

If you give us information about a Related Person, you confirm that the other person has appointed you to act on his/her behalf and has agreed that you can:

  1. give consent on his/her behalf to the processing of his/her personal data;
  2. receive on his/her behalf any data protection notices; and
  3. warrant that you have obtained his/her consent for us to store his/her personal data.

How long do we keep your information

Your information will be kept for a reasonable period in accordance with the data protection laws or such other regulatory requirements or laws in Malaysia.

Retention Period

We will keep your personal data in accordance with our respective internal retention periods which is dependent on the type of personal data being processed and retained and the respective regulatory requirements and applicable laws.

Access, Correction & Complaints

You can access your personal data or correct it subject to the applicable data protection laws in Malaysia, for which we may charge a reasonable fee as prescribed by the regulation.
